Global Positioning System (GPS) planting allows more accurate planting with increased safety and greater efficiency.

Safer: With a GPS system, it is possible to eliminate more moving components. When used with an auto steer system, row markers may not be necessary. Compared with the ALMACO cable winder system or check head system, no cable is needed.

More Accurate: Because there is no slippage caused by a ground wheel, GPS planting can provide better accuracy than the traditional methods of distance measuring. Depending on which type of GPS system is being used, accuracy can be between 2"-6". For the greatest amount of accuracy, an RTK base station can be used.
