How do I apply for a position at ALMACO?

We collect our applications on our website - Click on the “Apply Here” Button or the “Open Positions” tab on the Careers page to view all of our open positions. Clicking on a job title will bring you to a page with more details about each position. At the bottom of the job description is a grey button that says “Apply for this Position.” This is the button that you’ll click to get to our job application.

Please be aware that applicants are asked some demographic information before they are brought to our main application for tracking purposes. This information is collected at the same time as the application information but is stored separately in a restricted location – meaning that hiring managers do not have any access to this information.

If you have problems or questions about our application, or are a disabled veteran or a qualified individual with a disability and you are unable to use or have difficulty using our website as a result of your disability, please email careers@almaco.com to request an accommodation or obtain assistance.

How do I get to ALMACO?

ALMACO is located on the west side of Nevada. From Lincoln Highway, turn onto 1st Street and drive one block, and then turn right onto M Avenue. You'll drive past our shipping dock (to your left) and our employee parking lots (to your right) and you can park in the paved visitor parking lot in front of the building next to the flag pole. Please do not park in any spots that are marked as reserved. The visitor entrance to our building is marked with a sign and has a blue awning. You will be asked to sign in and provide the name of the person you will be speaking with.

I want to apply but I don't qualify for any of the current openings.

If you are interested in employment at ALMACO but do not see a job listed that is the right fit for you, you may select the link on the bottom of the “Open Positions” page to complete a general application. We will keep these general applications in the event that a position becomes available that matches your skills and interests. If you do see a position later that you have interest in, please contact us at careers@almaco.com so that we can get your information to the correct hiring manager.

What are your hours?

The reception area at ALMACO is open from 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday – Friday. Typically interviews are conducted within these times, but there may be cases in which we can be flexible.

After training, employees work with their managers to find a work schedule that works for them! Typically, employees work between the hours of 5:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Monday through Friday, but some employees work four 10-hour shifts Monday - Thursday so they get a three-day weekend.

Employees working on our second shift work from 3:00 p.m. - 1:30 a.m. on Monday - Thursday, and typically are compensated at a higher dollar level for working on the afternoon/evening shift.

What is the interview process like?

Once you complete your application, you should receive a confirmation email letting you know that the application was received. After that, our hiring managers review the applications and choose who they would like to speak to. Typically we’ll start with a short phone conversation, and after that we’ll move to an in-person interview. For some positions, a work-related test is required (for example, Welder Fabricators go through an interview and a weld test during their visit.) Depending on the job, applicants may be asked back for a second or third visit to discuss the position with different members of our team.

Do I need to bring anything to my interview?

If possible, there are times we may be able to provide a tour of the facility during interviews. We can provide steel toe covers, but sometimes one’s own shoes are more comfortable if they have them. We also require safety glasses in the manufacturing area, but we can provide those if necessary.

Welder Fabricators will be asked to complete a weld test, and if they have them they are asked to bring a welding helmet, sleeves, and gloves. (We can provide those for the test if necessary.)
